Warning: This post contains numerous photos of children!
Christmas Eve day was spent baking in our house. Now, I'm not a superior decorator of cookies, and I don't try to be. We slap the frosting on and let the kids have at it. The cookies were not pretty, but they did taste wonderful!

By the time the children were dressed in their pj's and the cookies and chocolate milk (Noelle insisted Santa prefers chocolate milk over regular milk) we checked the Official NORAD Santa Tracker online and Noelle excitedly exclaimed, "I'm ready for bed!" and literally ran to her room. We had to force her to go to the bathroom and I think she may have set a record in there! She was extremely excited for Santa and her joy was completely intoxicating!

When she came out in the morning she lit up seeing all the presents and said, "I have been a good girl this year!". They loved opening all their presents. Max seemed to grasp the concept of Santa pretty well, which was exciting for us. When it came to opening up gifts he wanted to unwrap them then have us completely open them so he could play for awhile. The following pictures explain it all:

One of the biggest hit was a stocking stuffer of a self inflating whoopee cushion. All the children have loved it! While Noelle was playing with it Max said, "Noelle have bad gas!". He would use every part of his part to make the toot sound and just laughed. Boys and their bodily functions!

Even though we have we spend Christmas at our house, by ourselves, missing our families, it was very enjoyable. We spent the day in our pj's (in all the pictures Noelle and Max never change clothes!) playing with all the new toys not having to worry about entertaining or driving anywhere!
Another awesome gift that seemed to be a big hit was a Geo Trax Train Set. It is geared toward younger children. The remote is easy to use and the train goes without having to worry about it being perfectly set on the tracks. It is very durable and has many expandable tracks and trains to go with it. Noelle and Max played with it for a long time and even Tom and I enjoyed using it!
