Violette Adelle Roehrig

Well, we are on the mend here. It started when we arrived back from Traverse City and just now we are starting to feel a lot better.

This is a little post about my baby. I don't seem to talk about her enough so I'm dedicating a full post to Violette Adelle!

She is my little tubbers, all round and squishy! The much wanted blue eyes never did grace her, but she has some very unique eyes. They are no one color in particular. Definitely not brown or blue, but kind of a greenish grey. The long Roehrig eyelashes frame the unique color and they look pretty. She has become the little diva for sure. She is loud and demands her fair share of attention and wanting to be right in the center of all the action.

She never took to baby food, but prefers real food cut up in small pieces. I still try feeding her by spoon but she grabs the spoon and attempts to feed herself. I guess she wants to be independent when it comes to food! We are still waiting on her first tooth, who knows when that will pop through. She is still exclusively breastfed, using no bottles. None of my other two were this dependant on me, but I don't have a life so it works out just fine.

Because she is the third I seem to slip with teaching her things like waving and clapping. I realized this awhile back and set out to teach her. Luckily she is a quick study, like her older siblings, and it took a few times and she had it down pat. I feel very blessed my children pick up things very quickly!

Of course Violette is into everything like all babies her age. Not that I let her all the time, but she can successfully plug and unplug things. I let her a few times because I was impressed at her dexterity. It is dangerous, but she is really good at it. Max quickly screams when he sees her go toward any plugs. He is very protective, rough, but protective and exclaims multiple times a day, "I love her so much".

Speaking of love, Violette loves paper! She can search out every little unseen speck of paper and she eats it like it were the most delicious morsel ever placed in her mouth. I do believe paper is her favorite food! So strange and I spend a lot of time digging paper out of her mouth. Most of the time we have no idea where she finds it.

Well, that's a little bit about my baby. Here are a few pictures of her, she loves to smile for the camera!
