Celebrating Maizey

Little Miss Maizey May turned one on January 23rd.  That date is special because it was also my brother's 21st birthday.  I cannot believe my little brother, affectionately always know as Zander-Butt, is now 21 years old.  That would make me, ahhh! 29!!  It's truly amazing how quickly the years pass.

My sister had Maizey's Birthday this past weekend in St. Clair.  We headed there for our first trip in the Mini (we call it that or MV now) and boy that thing is nice to travel in!  The children are not cramed, have plenty of room and easy vision outside with the many big windows and even better vision on the dual DVD players.  We are now your typical minivan family!

Maizey looked adorable as she toddled around in her birthday outfit. Soaking in all of the chaos, she was calm and cool.

Mr. Zane was a grump, insisting on removing his pants (pants are the devil to him and a huge obstacle for me!) Aunt CC let him and he became happy again. This picture captures his very typical and usual look.  He has taken Max's place as our miserable child.
My children loved playing spy, helping Maizey open gifts, and indulging in the many sweet treats around the place.  We all had a really nice time!

Upon leaving it was only a matter of miles until both Violette and Zane were fast asleep in a sugar and fun induced coma.

I love Zane's expression. Mia hates any clothes if it makes you feel any better. I have actually hauled her out of daycare half naked in the freezing cold because she refused to get dressed. Natural consequences. I'm glad you were able to be there for your sweet niece's first birthday party! First birthdays are always so much fun!
